So far this year, six Telesecundaria schools have suffered theft with a total amount of 250 thousand pesos;, the most recent happened on Tuesday last week in the rural community El Saltito, Durango, where teachers were surprised by the broken protections of some classroom's windows, when they arrived to the campus.
In this regard, the Head of the Legal Department of the State System of Telesecundaria, Roberto Carlos Huízar Rosales, said that criminals stole 40-inch screen televisions, among other valuables from the mentioned schools.
Moreover, in another township in Canatlán, one more robbery was perpetrated last week on a Telesecundaria. Its director has submitted his complain to the public prosecutor specifying the characteristics of the stolen items including mostly new flat-screened televisions, which, he said, are nowadays the most attractive object for criminals.
