Lourdes Reyes began her singing career in 1987, participating in a local musical group from San Luis Potosi. In 1991, she was part of the Bacardi contest. Valores Juveniles marked her television debut in 1993, by acting in some episodes of Televiteatros while working at the Center for Arts Education Televisa (CEA), graduating in 1994.
The poet Guadalupe Amor, better known as Pita Amor, was a precursor of women's liberation and inspiration from photographers and painters. Also known as the "Eleventh muse", Amor was a Mexican poet sui generis that forged her work with metaphysical subjects, written in first person; along with poet Nahuiollin (1893-1978), Pita is also considered a pioneer of women's liberation in this country.
After 14 years from her death, Pita Amor, was remembered as a beautiful inspiration for photographers and painters like Cordelia Urueta, Martha Chapa, Raul Anguiano and Diego Rivera. The latter one painted her naked, despite the chagrin of his aristocrats parents, Emmanuel Love Suverbielle and Carolina Schmidtlein García Teruel.
