Seven out of 10 students are being bullied in the junior high level in Mexico, ranking the country in the first worldwide place in bullying cases; high school cases are also arising.

Although media has put its eye on the matter, the problem keep increasing. The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH ) reported that in 2011, 30 % of elementary students said they have some type of bullying; in 2013 , the rate stood at 40 percent. The CNDH showed that such harassment affects mostly elementary and junior high students who are being bullied by groups and student gangs to the point of leading victims to suicide.

According to agency reports, some DIF figures indicate that 17% of six-year-old children at school reported being insulted or beat by classmates; and two out of every 10 infants, aged 10 to 12, revealed to be abused or humiliated at school. Every type of violence ranging from physical, psychological or emotional aggression to sexual abuse and/or cyber violence, exclude those affected causing them severe depressions.
